What payment methods do you provide?

Currently we provide Credit Card (Stripe), Bancontact, iDEAL, SOFORT, Giropay, Bitcoin (Bitpay), Paypal, Przelewy24, Paysafecard and Alipay. We are constantly looking to add new payment methods.

Can I test your service before purchasing?

You can but we don’t provide services without payment verification. So if you want to test our service just purchase it. When you’re done testing and our service is not to your liking open a ticket and ask for a refund. You will be able to do so within 30 days no questions asked. We will process any refund within 48 hours but usually it will be a lot faster.

Can I have a discount or coupon code?

No you can’t. Our prices are already at the bottom of the market so there will be no further discounts. Never ever not on Black Friday or St. Patrick’s Day or any other day. Period.

You will always pay the exact same low price as any other customer. Trust me you won’t ever find a coupon code for this site anywhere and if they say they do have one it wouldn’t work. In fact, chances of a price increase next year to correct for inflation will be much more likely so order now before it’s too late! 😉

Can I upgrade my existing service to a larger plan?

Yes you can, please open a ticket and we’ll take care of it. Downgrading within the same billing period is not supported.

Can I switch to monthly payments instead of just annually?

At this point we only offer annual payment on our Mini- and MaxiKVM plans. Since our price level is so competitive we feel like this is the easiest way for us and the customer. Plus we would have to pay our bookkeeper a lot more money if we had a lot of small invoices. Yearly billing helps us to keep our current low price level.

We do however, support monthly billing on our gamekvm.com and powerkvm.com instances.

Is the base operating system included with the advertised disk space?

Yes it is. Whatever the OS consumes cannot be used for anything else. So let’s say you buy the 7 GB plan and you install Debian which is 2 GB, you end up with 5 GB free space left.

Do you offer any hosting control panels like Plesk, CPanel etc.?

We’re using Virtualizor control panel which you can use to manage your VPS. From there you have the option to install a hosting control panel on your VPS. Some of them are free some of them require a license. You can install a payed one but we don’t provide the license. This feature is there ‘as is’ since it comes with Virtualizor, we don’t provide active support for it. You should also keep in mind that any control panel will require additional disk space and consume more resources.

Can I upload my own ISO files and install my server manually?

You sure can. We already provide most popular ISOs of Linux and BSD which you can mount and use. However, we’re using failover IPs from OVH which most installers don’t like because of the out of subnet gateway. So chances are you need to shell out during the installation to manually configure your network. This requires more in-depth Linux knowledge so we don’t support this. If you choose not to use one of our templates which work out of the box that’s perfectly fine but you are on your own.

If you need an ISO we don’t provide yet please open a ticket and we’ll add it to the repository.

Can I install Windows?

We only support Windows on our MaxiKVM, PowerKVM and GameKVM plans. We only provide non-activated versions for evaluation purposes only. We don’t provide any licensing and can’t be held responsible for customers running Windows with an invalid license.

We don’t allow any Windows versions that are no longer supported by Microsoft, like Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2.

Will you backup my VPS?

Yes we do backup your VPS. Every night at around 03:00 CET a backup is created which you can restore anytime you want through the Virtualizor control panel. It is not supported (yet) to create snapshots yourself.

Be aware though that there is only a two day retention so once that maximum is reached the first backup is overwritten on the third night.

WARNING: Please don’t rely on our backups as we don’t run any integry tests and can’t guarantee anything. If you rely heavily on your data make a backup yourself and store it somewhere save. We can’t be held responsible for any loss of data!

Can I run a VPN service on my server?

You can run a private VPN on your instance for yourself and/or your family and friends. We don’t allow public VPNs that anyone can use anonymously.

If you’re looking for VPN software we can recommend Wireguard. It’s very fast and very easy to setup.

How good is your DDoS protection?

We’re using OVH Anti-DDoS Pro on all of our instances with a shared capacity of 4 TBps. This Anti-DDoS solution is currently the best on the market in terms of capacity and filtering. Rest assured your server will never go down again from a Layer 4 (bandwidth saturation) attack nor will your IP ever be null-routed.

However, there is still the possibility for an attacker to launch a Denial of Service (Layer 7) attack. There is no guarantee your server won’t go down from that. You might need an additional service to protect you from that. A good example is Cloudflare which you can use to protect your web server. Other examples are fail2ban and iptables.

Is there a limit on how many times I can re-install my VPS?

No there is no limit. You can re-install your VPS anytime you want and you can switch to another Operating System as much as you want.

Can I set reverse DNS?

You can through our IP manager control panel. However, only IPv4 is supported as of now. The IP manager will soon be updated to support IPv6 as well.

If you need reverse DNS on an IPv6 address please open a ticket and we’ll add it for you. Make sure to point your AAAA record to the correct address though, otherwise we will be unable to add the reverse.
